About Us

The name 4 States Painting and Construction began in 2012. Owner Kelly Berry began painting in 1996. Through the years, he has chased his passion as a paramedic and painter.

Before saving lives as a paramedic and saving architecture from deterioration, Kelly served our country as a Quarter Master in the Navy. His service began in 1988. He traveled the world.

He began his paramedic career in 1999 and continued until 2016. His dual career as an entrepreneur and first responder continued until his business grew to the point, he could no longer do both. With an entrepreneurial spirit which just wouldn’t quit, he knew he had to choose.

After so many years as a professional painter, Kelly’s passion is historic architecture. He loves working on a piece of history which needs some attention. To watch it go from run down to pretty, makes him a very happy painter. Whether the effort is through painting or through washing, he is just happy to see the structures come back to life.

In his free time, Kelly loves to travel with his fiancé Phelise and her two adorable daughters. He enjoys his gardens at his house and as an early riser, you can often find him up with the sun, sitting on the porch drinking coffee and watching the sunrise over his beautiful flower garden. More days than not, Phelise is by his side as they study together.

We’d love to work with you. If that can’t happen, we’d love to just get to know you. Kelly considers his company more than just a painting company. He considers it an avenue to get to know and serve people.

Kelly’s favorite phrase is:

We Are Color.
